January we start off with leaving for Florida and already had an adventure with the RV. This coming not before ripping off our awning cannapy to the RV and mjss ing tons of vehicles in the process since we weren't on 95 yet and also in the far right side of the road instead of the middle. We finally made it in 2 days but not before stopping in Florence, South Carolina. This trip was also emotional and different as this was the first time we would be going to Florida with out my grandfather. We knew it would be hard but didn't know how hard until we walked in the house and knew his room would be empty and that was the first time it fully hit. It took us 3 weeks to unpack and get settled in. In the process of that and getting settled my mom had a fall and messed her other ankle up possibly another broken one. This ended up screwing up our plans for going to the palm beach zoo and having a great time while she rested for the next month. This month also included the Tik tock ban which ended up being less than 3 days before it was released. It was also the start of the 4 year term of Trumps Inauguration.
February turned into us going back to church and making bread in our 3 in 1 bread machine and making our first loaf while mom recovers. Events included pops 99th birthday if he was still here, my parents anniversary and Valentine's day. With stomach issues and more sickness due to MS. This month also included the super bowl and super bowl parties with the neighbors. 4 day visit with the sister and brother-in-law even though I wished it would have lasted longer. Also me trying a pot gummy for the first time after they left and becoming so freaking high that I ended up spending 50 plus in Wendy's on food and chocolate frostys. Sleeping for most of the night and then still waken up high so that was fun. By this time mom is pretty muched healed. Walks with my niece and neighbor.
Now we enter March spring tornado season for most of the country. The south already had there season in January. Plenty of beach days, winery days with live music and fun. St Patty's day with the Irish festival and more. This is also the one year from the Key Bridge collapse incident. Baby sitting my niece as well and the start of a amazing weight loss journey.
April came with weight loss progress but also ups and downs with med side-effects but now getting used to the meds. This also included mall trips with walking back and forth to get my workout, Easter planning, and getting my ears pierced even though I thought I got them done on my birthday but I guess not.
May was uneventful other then my birthday and mother's day. The news of finding out your brother in law proposed to your sister in April in Aruba or some tropical location which we have been asking him to do for years. More weight loss ups and downs. New Dr apts with my new neuro who I love. And hit a total of 30 lbs already.
June was the month for a hopeful relationship that turned into hell again. Makes me feel like im going to be single for the rest of my life until I die. Us finally getting ready to head back for the summer in MD but delaying for a couple of weeks as we work to build a inside storage area with hurricane shutters so we dont have to drag everything back inside the house and back out when we get there. This was also my annual 6 month infusion day. More weight loss progress in hitting mile stones that I have set. Finding out your going to be a aunt again in December. My neighbors pregnant with baby number 2. But little did we know that in the next month that my sister would tell us that they would be pregnant with a little girl which we wouldn't know until later on in the year.
July was the start of 4th of July parties, summer once again from hell. Finding out your best friends from church are all moving to Edgemere and to find out one is moving to Penwood the other on Newton in the house that belonged to my cousins mother. The 4th of July parties turn into a surprised engagement proposal no one knew of. And all my friends who moved to Newton being apart of the 4th of July celebration. First time back at church after dealing with my grandfather health issues and death followed by my medical scare at church on father's day. Crab fests with your childhood friend and her mom well 2nd momma and having those reuions again. Hearing all the crazy stories and catching up. This also brings up the annual firemans carnival which brings the parade, fireworks and bingo nights. Ending the month with the start of the new young adult ministries starting back up and going to the Eddie James concert. And finding out your sister got pregnant on your moms birthday.
Wow finally in August what a year already and the summer has flown by but glad that fall is upon us. Moms girlfriend trip to ocean city for a week while I stay home and relax. Bible study nights not before having another health scare and me blacking out. Bingo nights at the new Cove restaurant. Once again ups and downs of the weight loss journey. The one year anniversary of my grandfather's death, Trumps attempted assassination. Rapture speculations and fears for next month which has me on edge.
September brought the idea of cooler weather and fall but spiritual struggles, rapture predictions and dad driving us crazy. More dr apts. With many anniversaries which included Chris, Mina, and 9/11. On 9/10 we would see a shocking and pivotal moment in history as we hear the shot heard around the world which wasnt Trump attempted assassination last year but Charlie Kirk being murder/assassinated in cold blood on live tv. But on a positive note weight loss journey update was hitting the milestone of hitting a total weight loss of 50 lbs. The mental struggles of this is killing me and trying not to think about it.
We now enter fall and the month of October. Once again failed predicted captures dates in September and them trying again this month. I'm totally over it. A college reunion that ended in disaster with no one really showing up after all this planning. More weight loss progress with now over 50 plus lbs. This also included more Bible study nights and young adult bonfire nights.
November brings Thanksgiving and date night with dad in going to dinner and seeing the TSO or Trans Siberian Orchestra in concert in PA with his coworker and his wife. More weight loss progress and set backs.
And now we finally enter the end of the year the month of December. The start of advent season and christmas season with Christmas eve services, planning our 6 month stay in Florida. The birth of my new nephew David Levi. Last Bible study of the year and christmas parties. But not before finding out the day before christmas that I would loose my coverage with my neuro dr that I had for 3 years after they decided to drop me before my next infusion that coming monday because they wernt getting paid for 2 years. And now I have to start all over again to find a new person. Lucky I have one in Florida but not in MD which is who I lost. We are trying to get in the Hopkins one but apparently its not as easy as we think like getting an apt. They have to review my case and that not even guarantee that I will be able to be apart of it. Which now throws off my infusion 6 month plan because of it. We end this month with new years and celebrating with friends which is surprised that I made it when every year I fall asleep by 8 pm.
In conclusion this year has been so far the best in terms of not really having major issues or me ending up in the hospital. Here's to 2026 with more and better adventures and things to come.
